‘90s fashion going out of style? As if!

If you say you’ve never wanted to be the stylish, independent Cher Horowitz, you’re probably lying. Even I will admit that I wore her iconic yellow plaid co-ord for Halloween one year. And it was powerful. Cher’s entire essence somehow just makes you feel like a badass business lady.
That’s probably why even 25 years after its original release, Clueless’s style is still shaping the modern fashion scene. From famous quotes to revolutionary fashion, Clueless and it’s cool-girl protagonist have changed society forever. So, today we’re revisiting the most memorable looks for some inspo.
Layers On Layers
Cher’s and Dionne’s quintessential layered gym class outfits were just as revolutionary in the ‘90s as they are today. From e-girls to high-fashion bloggers, the uber-layered look is a classic staple (probably not in gym class, though).
It just goes to show that even just a simple tee under a cami or dress can make all the difference in taking your look from sad to rad.
Sheer Tops
Organza tops are back in style now more than ever. Cher pairs a black sheer button up with bishop sleeves over a basic ribbed white cami to create a revolutionary look for the time.
And based on the looks of today’s runway and streetwear trends, we don’t think this staple is going anywhere anytime soon.
That Mini Dress
We all remember the iconic white strapless mini-dress. You know, the one that’s not underwear and is in fact Calvin Klein. We all wanted to buy it. It was virtually one of the most memorable dresses in film history, period.
The tight mini dress trend has now run rampant in the fashion world, and I’m not complaining. Simply pair it with a cute hair accessory and a dainty necklace and you’re set for a Cher-approved complete look. Who cares what Mr. Horowitz thought.
Schoolgirl Chic

Plaid miniskirts, comfy cardigans and collared shirts – oh my! Cher and her girl gang basically paved the way for today’s preppy streetwear.
If you’re like me, you wished you could attend school with the Clueless girls just to sport their chic take on boring school uniforms. (And yes, I did buy a plaid skirt after watching this movie the first time).
So, next time you’re “totally buggin’” over what outfit to wear out, take a page out of Cher’s book and you’ll look like a total fashionista. Even though you might not have her rotating closet, you can still create a snazzy ‘90s look that won’t have you looking like a full-on Monet.
Anyway, I’m Audi.
